چکیده

* Corresponding author Automated generation of maps from remotely sensed images remains an unsolved problem in the quest for bringing together image analysis and GIS technologies. This paper proposes a framework for an automatic scene interpretation system with the objective of populating/updating a GIS database. The proposed approach exploits semantic contextual information, combining scene and application domain knowledge and their mutual support.

Automated Tumor Segmentation Based on Hidden Markov Classifier using Singular Value Decomposition Feature Extraction in Brain MR images

ntroduction: Diagnosing brain tumor is not always easy for doctors, and existence of an assistant that                                                      facilitates the interpretation process is an asset in the clinic. Computer vision techniques are devised to aid the clinic in detecting tumors based on a database of tumor c...

A new approach for satellite image analysis by means of a semantic network

This paper investigates synergy effects between satellite images and a digital topographic database. The use of such topographic databases, which are actually built up in many countries (e.g. ATKISDLM200 data in Germany), can support the satellite image analysis. This digital database offers a geometric as well as a semantic prediction for every object in the satellite image. Therefore, an auto...

Object-Oriented and Multi-Scale Image Analysis in Semantic Networks

Important semantic information necessary to interpret an image is mostly not represented in single pixels but in meaningful image objects and their mutual relations. Delphi2 Creative Technologies has developed a new technology and software for object-oriented and multi-scale image analysis. The procedure is based on the so called 'Fractal Net Evolution' approach which is a efficient method to d...

Differential Object Extraction Methods for Automated Gis Updates

In modern geospatial applications object extraction becomes increasingly part of larger cycles of GIS updates. In such update cycles, the objective is to compare new information to older one, and to identify changes that occurred in the meantime. In this paper we present an image-based GIS updating framework and corresponding image analysis algorithms developed by our group to automate GIS upda...

Multi-hierarchical Quality Assessment of Geospatial Data

In this paper we describe the analysis framework system GEOAIDA with view of an application for a versatile and efficient quality assessment of geodata. GEOAIDA allows to develop image analysis strategies for complex object class definitions being provided by different GIS databases. The image analysis strategy and GIS data model can be expressed in tree-like semantic networks. The multi-hierar...
